Congratulations on Your New Brows!
Proper aftercare is just as important as the microblading procedure itself. It accounts for 50% of your final healed result. Here is our expert guide to protecting your investment.
The First 48 Hours
Keep them clean and dry. Gently dab the freshly tattooed area with a clean tissue every few hours to absorb any excess lymph fluid. This prevents thick scabbing, which can pull pigment out of the skin.
Days 3-10: The Peeling Phase
- Washing: Starting on day 3, gently wash your brows morning and night with a mild, antibacterial soap. Use only your fingertips in a light, sweeping motion. Pat dry completely.
- Ointment: Apply a rice-grain amount of the provided aftercare ointment. Do not over-apply; the skin needs to breathe.
- NO PICKING: Your brows will start to flake and peel. Never pick, scratch, or pull at the flakes, as this will result in patchiness and scarring.
What to Avoid for 14 Days
- Heavy sweating (gym, saunas)
- Direct water pressure in the shower
- Swimming in pools or the ocean
- Direct sun exposure or tanning beds
- Makeup, lotions, or skincare products directly on the brows
The Color Shock
Don't panic! During the first week, your brows will appear much darker and bolder than expected. Around day 7-10, the color will soften. Sometimes, the strokes may appear to vanish completely before reappearing during weeks 3-4. This is a normal part of the skin's healing cycle.
The Touch-Up
Microblading is a two-step process. Your required touch-up session at 4-6 weeks will fill in any gaps, adjust the color, and perfect the shape once the skin has fully healed.
